| well.
we made it. i'm pretty much indebted to cherry and sarah for the rest
of my life...they are amazing...and that list we made is my favoritest
thing.
we left yesterday at 8am in josh casey's car and made it to the last
part of the viewing at 8pm. everyone was so suprised and glad to see
me...it's so good that we went.
the service and burial were today at 10 am...and they were beautiful. i
think everyone cried, but i know he's in heaven...so it was a peaceful
cry.
and then we left. and we're back in joplin now. i think we drove about
20 hours and spent about 16 in ohio. crazy. God has blessed me with
friends crazy enough to drive that much for me. and even more with
everyone in joplin who was praying and trying to help. i love you all.
thank you so much for your help this weekend.
i think i'm going to get some sleep now.

i just got a package from amazon tho! i spent my birthday money...and got...
wicked (the book)
newsies (collectors edition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
and the count of monte cristo. (the movie.)
and.....
i'm ecstatic.
i keep looking at them so i stay motivated to finish my exegeticals. 
ps...i'm coming home in 4 days. finally.

| so. it's the end of my birthday.
it's been a goooood day.
i had to work, but that was fun. for serious. joe and jon shell make me laugh real hard. especially cuz joe's an ex-con...
here's a few highlights...but keep in mind--my friends are AWESOME and this is in no way capturing my whole day, or how much i am loved.
my amazing older sister gave me a DWIGHT SCHRUTE BOBBLEHEAD. top that....i dare you.
tyler and the beards gave me a scantron. and that's hilarious.
christi and michelle hawkins sat in the halls and would say, happy birthday annie, happy birthday annie, happy birthday annie, hey, did you know it's annie's birthday? happy birthday annie!...just to see how many people would stop and say happy birthday. it was funny.
patty valencia made the whole starbucks sing the happy birthday song to me...and i turned so red!!
ps...my roommate totally took care of me today. she's pretty much awesome.
it was a really good birthday. but now i must study. i love you all.

| actually...
it's not that dramatic. it's just the choir retreat this weekend. we'll see how it goes.
taledega nights is finally *FINALLY* at the cheap theater, and i might scream for joy.
nicole stately (she works with me at starbucks) had a sister come into town, and asked me if taylor could spend the night and experience "dennis dorm life". the funny part was...we accidently skipped devos, and then i had to stay up until 3 to finish an inductive study. i hope she still wants to go to college...  haha. she actually had a really fun time (or so she said) and she's really excited to come here next year.
i wish i could be a freshman again.
off i go...to sing my brains out...hakuna matata...

| it's been a crazy week. but fun.
so about 10 days ago, patrick wheeler asked if we had starbucks stickers...and i said yes?! and he asked if i could get some for him....and i said, yes, but only if he brought me a present every time i gave him stickers.
he agreed.
and so we had a trade-off. it was sooo funny. i got costra rican money and a bendo police officer!! he got a lot more out of the deal...but then again--the stickers are free...so he kept talking me down and we just made two big trades.
i love presents.
speaking of which--my birthday is coming up and i need to send my grandma and mom a list! whoops...what do i need for my birthday, ladies and gentlemen?!
i need as many ideas as possible...
in other news...i was talking to my "twin" nick patrick the other night while he drove me to work...and he got really mad that i'm leaving joplin in may. so he decided that he's going to marry me off...and has been working on it. he's got seth caddell working too...and that's wayy more dangerous, cuz seth is an RA! 
sometimes it's hilarious. sometimes i want to beat him over the head. the hilarious moments come when every time i talk to a boy, nick comes behind him and mouths, "what about him?!" "is he a potential?" and i just laugh
the other times are like when, at open house, they started telling a freshman that they would pay for dinner if we would just go out on a date.
am i reduced to bribing to get i date?!
no. definitely not. so boys...stay away from nick and seth for awhile. like...the next 2 semesters. haha.
in OTHER news...i went to a synagogue last night. it was really interesting. i'll post about it sometime.
and finally...i think for my birthday i'm going to a japanese steakhouse. who's game?!
